Organizing References with Zotero for Nursing Students Online
This session will introduce you to the benefits of using a citation manager, Zotero - a tool that that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share your research. It will include a demonstration of how to use a citation manager with the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied health Literature (CINAHL), Omni and Google; as well as how to use it with Word for in-text citation and building reference lists in APA style. There are many citation managers available, some free and some fee based.
For this session the instructor will be using the free and open-source tool, Zotero, in a Windows operating system. Please keep in mind that the instructor will not devote much time to reviewing the installation process during the workshop. You are welcome to only watch the demonstration, but if you wish to use Zotero before or during this session, you can download the most recent version as well as the Zotero Connector (a browser plug-in) for Mac, Windows, or Linux operating systems here: https://www.zotero.org/download/.
