It's All About CINAHL for Nursing Students Online

If you’re looking for scholarly, peer reviewed nursing articles, why not avoid all the noise you may encounter in a Google search and instead search in a database that focuses on nursing literature? This session will focus on advanced searching in the premier nursing database, Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL). In this session we will review:

  • how to think critically about the terms you use when developing a search strategy;
  • when and how to combine concepts using Boolean logic - ANDs and ORs;
  • when it's appropriate to use wildcards and truncation;
  • when and how to use CINAHL subject headings;
  • nd how to refine and troubleshoot your searches.
